Griff’s Run and Gun Dinner and Silent Auction - July 27, 2012 Time: Doors open at 5:30 PM (appetizers will be served), Dinner at 7:15 PM, Auction and Program 8:15-10:00 (Upon arrival at The Casino please check in at the reception desk with Beckie Beck and the reception committee.)

Price: $25 per ticket

This year’s event will feature keynote speaker Jeff Bower, a 1979 graduate of HAHS and the former NBA General Manager and Coach of the New Orleans Hornets. The event will also feature Jack Andraka, the 15-year-old freshman who recently won $75,000 at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair for his work with early detection testing for pancreatic, ovarian, and lung cancer. The event will also be attended by leading pancreatic cancer specialist and researcher Dr. A. James Moser, formally of UPMC and as of May 1st of this year, Director of Hepatobiliary Pancreatic Surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston and Associate Professor at Harvard University. Tickets can be purchased from any Run and Gun committee member, at Diamond Bridal in downtown Hollidaysburg, at L.R. Webber and Associates or online. Griff’s Run and Gun 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament - July 28, 2012
Time: Check-in 8:30 AM, Games begin at 9:00 AM
Place: The Hollidaysburg Area YMCA, 1111 Hewit Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648
Price: $60 per team
You can sign up at the Hollidaysburg Area YMCA. Please drop off your registration forms and sign up fee at the YMCA in a box that will be located the front desk. For any questions about tournament please contact Laurie Smith at (814) 695-4467. “Tee Off For a Cure” Golf Outing - July 29, 2012 Time: Registration at 11:30 AM, Lunch from 12:00-12:45 PM, Shotgun Start at 1:00 PM
Place: Sinking Valley Country Club, 595 Golf Course Road, Altoona, PA 16601
Price: $400 per foursome Registration forms will be available beginning next week (June 18th) at L.R. Webber, Diamond Bridal, or from Jordan Griffith or Dawn Garrity. Registration forms can be turned in at the home of Dawn Garrity – 141 Larch Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648 (Directly across from Blairmont Country Club). Online registration will be available as of next week (June 18). Also, hole sponsorship is $150.
