In 1997 the Leadership Blair County Steering Committeee  discussed the need to recognize individuals who continue to uphold the mission of LBC. The outcome of these discussions was the creation of the Leadership Blair County Fellow Award. At this time, the criteria, eligibility and selection process was established. Those eligible would be individuals associated with LBC from the Alumni Association and the Steering Committee. Up to two honorees can be chosen each year with the awards presented at Graduation. Those honored would demonstrate contributions to the mission of Leadership Blair County and demonstrate servant leadership efforts for the stewardship of the Blair County Community. Nominees are living examples of the desired program outcomes. In its truest sense, the Leadership Blair County Fellow is an award for individuals who are convinced that they do not deserve the award.
The undersigned feel very privileged to be award recipients. Incumbent with this honor, we are responsible for assuring the continuance of this award at the highest level possible. All fellows must be part of the selection process and there must be 100% agreement on the honoree. Nominations may be carried over from the previous years and the Fellows may submit additional nominations themselves as well as all nominations received from LBC Alumnus and Steering Committee members.
Therefore, we respectfully request that you assist Leadership Blair County by nominating an individual you feel is deserving of becoming a Fellow. For your convenience you may download a nomination form. Please provide as much information as possible concerning your nominee. If a Leadership Blair County Fellow is awarded this year, the presentation will be made at graduation on June 12th.
