We make “The #1 Mat in the World” at our US headquarters in Tipton and we operate subsidiary locations in the UK, Netherlands, China, and India.
We’re currently looking for a proactive and driven leader to manage our global subsidiary operations and US-based sales, service, and product development activities as they relate to international customers. The position is based at our corporate headquarters in Tipton, PA with global travel as needed.
Primary Responsibilities – Subsidiary Management
• Manage (plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee) global subsidiary operations activities, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective processes to meet current and future needs of the organization
• Ensure that growth and profitability plans are in place and worked on. Delegation of details as necessary with follow up on timeliness and quality. Assume accountability for results.
• Ensure daily business practices meet operational goals and produce maximum efficiency though a continuous improvement culture
• Seek investment opportunities for profitable growth and sustainability
• Represent subsidiary interests with the corporate team
Primary Responsibilities – US-based International Sales, Service & Product Oversight
• Able to engage and manage a diverse group of direct and indirect reports (including but not limited to Customer Service, Business Development, Import/Export, Product Sourcing, etc). Provide structure, vision, and leadership that will support current and future professional growth for same.
• Ensure that a highly motivated, well-trained workforce exists and is maintained, and inspire innovation and loyalty to the PIG brand
• Work with Business Development Managers to grow international sales direct and through distribution partners
• Budgetary responsibility and accountability for all areas managed
• Engage with distribution and reseller partners
• Determine need for local manufacturing to better service international customers
• Oversee Product Development activities to support international needs
• Oversee Import/Export and Trade Compliance activities
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business or other relevant field of study
• Minimum of 5 years in international business operations, preferably in an industrial manufacturing
• Must be able to travel globally as required
• Position requires individual be located at New Pig headquarters in Tipton, PA
• Strong sense of initiative, internal motivation, ability to coach, develop and inspire team members
• Must be a critical thinker, able to make timely and tough business decisions
• Openness to feedback and coaching with a strong orientation towards continual learning and improvement. Ability to solicit, accept and provide direct feedback without defensiveness.
• Capacity to operate in a complex, global environment with ease and fluidity, while driving and influencing results
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to develop detailed reports and correspondence, and ability to speak effectively before diverse groups of people
• Strong operational and financial acumen
• Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles; analytical problem-solving skills with an impeccable attention to detail. Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement.
• Knowledge and experience with ERP systems and process tools
