About the Blair County Chamber of Commerce
The Chamber traces its roots to April 26, 1887. Since those early days, the Chamber has had an impact on the business climate of our region. The Chamber was a catalyst for business development back then and remains so today.
The Blair County Chamber of Commerce is an association of businesses working together to promote, inform, educate and advocate for the membership and the community. The Chamber and its more than 1,000 members are constantly looking for new ways to be on the cutting-edge. Whether it is a program that we initiate or an event in which we collaborate with another of Blair County’s outstanding business advocates, we get results! Our members’ success is vital to us and that is why the Chamber takes pride in its advocacy role by looking for ways to help our member businesses succeed. The Chamber maintains a system of by-laws, policies and procedures that guides the staff and Board of Directors in matters dealing with standards, ethical conduct and overall professional behavior. Our members look to us to provide them with information, educational programming and networking opportunities that they are unable to find elsewhere. Joining the Chamber is just the first step towards success. By getting involved, your business can make the most of your membership by putting the Chamber to work for you. |
