Job Description:
The City of Altoona, PA is seeking an innovative, dynamic individual to serve as its next Information Technology Director. This position is responsible for the City of Altoona’s information technology planning and operations, including server administration, core systems support, virtualization, storage, data center, and applications. They will exercise supervision over the information technology department staff, including general oversite of assigned contractors.

Job Requirements
The preferred candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field with five (5) years progressive experience in an information technology focused position. Two (2) years of leadership, supervisory-based experience is preferred. This position requires a working knowledge of, and ability to manage and configure Cisco IP telephony, Cisco network infrastructure, Windows server and operating systems, virtualization software, and SQL.
