Job Description:
The Development Coordinator (DC) of the Bob Perks Fund (BPF) works under the supervision of the Executive Director (ED) and in conjunction with the Program Manager (PM) and the Development Committee to fulfill the organization’s mission. Administrative and development activities include planning and execution of special events, donor tracking, communications, marketing management, volunteer coordination, and website/social media administration. .
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop/Fundraising
- Develop and manage Bob Perks Fund special events and campaigns including volunteers, budget, and marketing
- Provide support, as needed, for other events held on behalf of BPF
- Assist ED in developing and stewarding sponsor relationships
- Use donor database system to track donors and volunteers; and work with Program Manager (PM) to maintain the donor database system
- Perform Development Committee administrative duties including scheduling meetings, developing agendas and preparing minutes
- Complete recurring annual grant applications with guidance from the ED
- Marketing and Communications Management
- Responsible for print and on-air promotional opportunities in conjunction with the ED
- Manage social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) in conjunction with ED
- Maintain marketing, donor and volunteer contact lists including Constant Contact management
- Coordinate with ED to produce and track thank you letters and correspondence with stewardship as a major objective
- Manage the content, layout and distribution of the annual report, quarterly newsletter, brochures and other print materials in conjunction with the ED
- Coordinate interviews, videos and testimonials from recipients, referral sources, donors and volunteers
- Act as BPF website administrator including updating content on a regular basis
- Develop and maintain an annual calendar highlighting significant special events publication due dates
- Bachelor’s Degree and experience with non-profit organization is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Independent decision making and supervisory skill and experience
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Varied and flexible hours (including occasional evenings and weekends) with ability to work from home; some local travel
- Strong written, verbal, and social media communication skills
- Proficiency in using a donor database (Donor Perfect preferred)
- Intermediate computer skills – Word, Excel, Constant Contact, One Drive and email
- Comply with the BPF Employee Handbook and adherence to the BPF Confidentiality Policy
