Our Client is seeking a motivated, experienced, and professional Retail Store Manager to join their team. The Store Manager’s main responsibilities include maintaining excellent customer service in a friendly, clean, and safe work environment. Managing a team of eight+ staff members to include employee hiring, scheduling, and coaching while overseeing day to day store operations and sales. Must be great with the public and able to present oneself in a professional manner. Qualifications: • Previous retail management experience required; highly preferred in a grocery and food service setting • Ability to work primarily on the retail store floor with some time spent in company’s warehouse, walk in freezer / cooler. • Intermediate level computer skills including MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel. Use of inventory and product ordering software systems. • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment while working to promote the store and increase the sales volume • Track record of over-achieving store’s sales goals • Strong planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills • Effective verbal & Written communication, listening and presentation skills • Must be willing /able to: stand 8+ hours per shift; lift, push & pull 50 pounds unassisted • Ability and willingness to work 50+ hours a week and some weekends Overview of Responsibilities: • Manage all store employees including job delegation, conducting employee performance reviews, and weekly work schedules. • Implement and maintain the company’s, standards, policies, and procedures • Maintain POS system keeping it up to date and working properly • Reconciling all end of the day reports and preparing deposit; Review daily sales reports determine busy times and schedule accordingly • Coordinate or complete sales order for sales department daily to evaluate next day’s needs as well as any items that are needed late in the day • Maintaining an appealing store appearance including the proper display of all deli cases, coolers, etc. • Monitor product codes and reduce prices as needed for quick sale to help reduce losses • Evaluate current product lines as well as potential lines to determine if they are needed • Assist in the facilitation of new line items and organize sampling. • Review product pricing and profitability; Attend monthly sales meetings • Control and maintain product shrinkage to a satisfactory level. • Maintain and attend all training and understanding uses of all store’s equipment Compensation & Schedule Summary: • Hourly position plus bonuses • Store Manager averages 50+ hours per week; Weekends shifts are required. • All daylight hours - Store is open 7 days a week, must be available during any operating hours. • Medical, Dental & Vision coverage is offered after 60 days of service. • PTO earned plus paid holidays • 401K with company match **Email your current résumé to: [email protected] then call our office at 814-317-5155.
